The legendary Mana Pools is known for its wildlife rich flood plains and magnificent views of the Zambezi River, with the Zambezi Escarpment in Zambia as a dramatic backdrop to the scenery. The river boasts some of Africa’s most amazing tiger fishing and adventure canoeing safaris, creating the perfect combination of beauty and fun and making this World Heritage site a must-visit national park. Famous for walking safaris, you can experience Mana Pools’ rich vegetation first hand.
This itinerary starts off at Kanga Camp, which overlooks the Kanga Pan, an essential water supply for a multitude of different wildlife and bird species during the dry season. Kanga pairs nicely with Zambezi Expeditions, an unfenced camp nestled along the banks of the Zambezi River. From here, you depart on a 2-night Mana Shoreline Walking Safari along the mighty Zambezi and then finish at Nyamatusi Camp, a remote camp where one can experienced unmarred Africa.
Itinerary in Brief
Day 1: Arrive at Harare Airport, light air craft transfer to Mana Pools, transfer to Kanga Camp for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis
Day 2: Full day to explore the Kanga Pan area of Mana Pools, with walking safaris and game drives
Day 3: Game drive transfer to next camp, over night Zambezi Expeditions for 1 night on a fully inclusive basis, afternoon wildlife viewing activity either on land or by canoe
Day 4 & 5: Begin fly camping along the Zambezi River for 2 nights: fully inclusive basis
Day 6: Arrive at Nyamatusi Camp, check in for 2 nights on a fully inclusive basis
Day 7: Full day to enjoy the Lower Zambezi River with game drives, walking safaris, canoeing safaris, and catch-and-release fishing
Day 8: Light aircraft back to Harare Airport, connect with flight to Johannesburg for international departure
