A Safari for Sisters
Overview
An African safari is literally a dream come true, and for these sisters it was a lifelong dream to experience wild Africa together.
It’s very common to start with a big bucket list, but it can be a challenge to make the tough decisions and zero in on a trip that is feasible, comfortable and perfect fit.
For this safari, our focus was on authentic cultural interactions and true wilderness experiences. We were drawn to the classic East African landscapes, but we also wanted to include Victoria Falls as well as some wildlife viewing by river.
We ended up combining Kenya and Zimbabwe for an epic 17-night itinerary. Starting with the cultural story of co-existence in Kenya’s Samburu and Masai Mara, then stopping in Vac Falls and Hwange before ending with the pristine wilderness of the Zambezi River Valley.
