Overview

We pulled together this trip for a repeat traveler to Zambia, who wanted to visit a guide and his wife that she had befriended from a previous trip. Bringing her partner, they saw two well-known areas of Zambia with a breather in the middle so she could visit the guide, a school he had built and his community.  Along with visiting her guide friend, she prioritized visiting the Lower Zambezi. Knowing we wanted to build this trip towards that preference, we arranged the beginning of the trip to start off in the South Luangwa – the perfect compliment to the Lower Zambezi.

We arranged two camps in different locations at South Luangwa. This way they got to enjoy distinct sets of experiences such as sleeping under reed & thatch chalets and walking safaris before heading off to Chirundu where they visited her guide friend. She had a very gratifying moment seeing the school that he built and she aided with funding. After immersing themselves into the local community, the couple then transferred by boat to the Lower Zambezi, which hosts a plethora of activities. We wanted them to have an exquisite finish, so we made their final accommodation the most luxurious.

The standouts about this Zambia trip are the excellent game drives, high quality guides and accommodation styles that are unique to Zambia. This expedition was an extensive introduction to Zambia for one, and a delightful return for another.
