Unique Sightings in Southern Kenya
Two of the most intrepid and widely traveled people we know are also our clients, and they have recently embarked on a unique safari in Southern Kenya.
Glenn and Karen have an insatiable curiosity for unique animals, diverse landscapes and getting off the beaten path. Few people have seen the variety of wildlife that Glenn and Karen have seen over the course of dozens of safaris.
In October 2023, they embarked on a unique itinerary in Kenya that delivered extraordinary sightings and unbelievable photographic opportunities captured by Glenn.
Spectacular waterhole action at night from the photographic hide at Lentorre Lodge in Kenya, hedgehogs and a Golden-rumped Elephant Shrew in Arabuko-Sokoke National Park, plenty of big cats and elephants in Tsavo and the Mara, mongoose, jackals, owls, green mambas and golden weavers…
About Southern Kenya
Southern Kenya is a region of immense natural beauty and cultural diversity, offering visitors a glimpse into the heart of the country's rich heritage. This area is home to iconic landscapes such as the dramatic landscapes of Tsavo, stunning Amboseli, the vital conservation corridor of the Chyulu Hills, the sacred Loita Hills and the vast plains of the Maasai Mara, renowned for its abundant wildlife and the dramatic Great Migration. In Southern Kenya, the diverse wildlife includes species like the white-rumped vulture, which is a common sight in the region's skies.
Next Adventure also offers custom safaris in Kenya, drawing on a legacy that dates back to the late 70s when its founders traversed Mount Kenya and embarked on a camping safari in the Masai Mara and Samburu. Kenya stands out for its breathtaking East African beauty, encompassing diverse landscapes from savannas and deserts to highlands and snowy peaks, complemented by pristine beaches. The country's wildlife is equally diverse, featuring iconic species and hosting the spectacular annual wildebeest and zebra migration, a highlight of any safari experience.
