Secret Safari Season in Tanzania’s Northern Circuit

In March 2024, Next Adventure’s Marketing Director Jeremy Townsend embarked on a classic overland safari on Tanzania’s iconic Northern Circuit visiting Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and the whole of the Southern Serengeti from the Kakesio plains through Ndutu, Naabi and the Seronera Valley.

This is such a special season as the grasses are green, the herbivores are calving and there is a fraction of other vehicles in the parks compared with the Peak-demand months between June and September.

Below is just a small selection of the incredible wildlife spotted along the way including black and white colobus monkeys in Arusha National Park, tree climbing lions in Tarangire, unbelievable herds in Ngorongoro Crater, multiple cheetah sightings in the Serengeti and a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon experience over the Seronera River.
