Overland Kenya Safari & Gorilla Trek Extension
Overview
We put together a trip for a well traveled and adventurous couple where they got to appreciate very different areas within Kenya. We paired them with a private guide and vehicle, ensuring exclusive game viewing and tailor-made experiences.
Their safari begins with a quick stay in Nairobi. Afterwards, they are picked up by their private guide for a road transfer to the Samburu/Buffalo Springs National Reserve. From then on keeping the same guide, they visit Ol Pejeta, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara before flying to Rwanda for a short gorilla trekking extension. Even though the visits to each of these locations are brief, this couple’s trip incorporates overland segments as opposed to light aircrafts. The private vehicle and guide promises flexibility and familiarity, a perfect match for a couple as experienced as these travelers!
Itinerary in Brief
28 July 2019: Arrive in Nairobi (quoted separately), transfer to hotel for 1 night on a bed & breakfast basis
29 July: Depart this morning with your private guide and vehicle for the drive to the Samburu/Buffalo Springs National Reserve for 2 nights on a full board basis
30 July: Enjoy a full day on safari in Samburu
31 July: Drive from Samburu to Ol Pejeta for 1 night on a full board basis
1 August: Drive from Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha for 1 night on a full board basis
2 August: Drive from Lake Naivasha to the Masai Mara for 2 nights on a full board basis
3 August: Full day to explore the Masai Mara National Reserve
4 August: Drive back to Nairobi where you say farewell to your guide and connect with a commercial flight to Kigali (quoted separately) for 1 night on a bed and breakfast basis
5 August: Depart this morning with your private guide and vehicle for the drive to Volcanoes National Park for 1 nights on a full board basis
6 August: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes, lunch at the lodge, drive back to Kigali, check in to dayroom before transfer to Kigali Airport for late-night departure
