Classic Tanzania Northern Circuit Safari
Overview
This trip was designed for a couple with a focus on good quality accommodations and superb wildlife viewing opportunities. They got to experience 3 of Tanzania’s famous game viewing areas with high concentrations of lion and elephants in Tarangire National Park, full day game drives in Ngorongoro Crater and moving cultural experiences in the Serengeti. The grand finale was a 4-night stay at a beach resort in Zanzibar – making this adventure an unforgettable blend of savannah with pristine white sandy beaches.
With this trip taking place during peak season in some of the most visited wildlife viewing areas in the world, this was a real steal in terms of value. We were able to send them to all the iconic areas of Tanzania with a good amount of time for each location at a very reasonable expense.
Itinerary in Brief
4 June 2019: Today, make your way to Nairobi International Airport for a scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport (quoted separately). Upon arrival in the morning, you will be met by representative who will brief you and introduce you to your private safari driver/guide to proceed with the drive to Tarangire National Park, about 4.5 hours. Arrive in good time for check in followed by lunch. This afternoon enjoy a game drive and return for dinner and overnight at camp for 3 nights on a full board basis
5-6 June 2019: Two full days in the park with both morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at camp
7 June After breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive, about 4 hours, to your lodge in Karatu arriving early for check-in followed by lunch. This afternoon enjoy farm visits followed by dinner and overnight for 2 nights on a full board basis
8 June: After early breakfast at the lodge, descend to the crater floor for a day in the Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic lunch at the crater floor. After an exciting day of safari, you will return for dinner
9 June: After leisurely breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer to airstrip and say farewell to your guide before boarding your scheduled flight to the Serengeti departing at 1130hrs. Upon arrival at 1215hrs you will be met by the camp’s representative then proceed for camp’s shared activities. All meals and overnight at camp for 4 nights on a full board basis
10-12 June: Enjoy three full days camp’s shared activities with both morning and afternoon game drive
13 June: After breakfast you will check out then transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. You are met by our local representative and transferred to Beach Resort for 3 nights in a Suite Room on a Half-board basis
14-15 June: Two full days to enjoy Zanzibar’s white sand beaches
16 June: Transfer to Zanzibar Airport, Fly Zanzibar/NBO (quoted separately), for 1 night at airport hotel on a Bed and Breakfast basis with free return airport transfers
17 June: After breakfast, take the hotel shuttle just 5 minutes to Nairobi Airport for your departure
