Namibia’s enchanting isolation is so remote and off the grid that the abundance of wildlife that manages to thrive is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Mix in the colorful and vast desert landscape, the iconic red dunes of Sossusvlei, the hauntingly alluring shipwrecks and animal bones of Skeleton Coast makes Namibia is an ocular wonder. Given Namibia’s large land area, the best way to cover ground see all of the country’s visual spectacles is by completing a flying circuit.

Our partners at Natural Selection have composed a comprehensive flying itinerary with a circuit that begins with a flight from Namibia’s capital city Windhoek to the NamibRand Nature Reserve. You’ll spend two nights in this desert that includes a visit to Sossusvlei before embarking on an aircraft transfer over Sossusvlei to the coast. The lodge you’ll be at for the next two nights is strategically located between local communities and the Giraffe Conservation Foundation, the world’s only Africa-wide giraffe conservation organization. Here you’ll get to experience the famous Himba people as well as all the desert adapted wildlife. You’ll then fly up to Mowe Bay on the Skeleton Coast where upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred approximately one hour overland to your lodge that is uniquely designed around the enigmatic shipwrecks the area is so well known for. Spend the next two nights beach combing for whale bones and debris from centuries of shipwrecks, or marvel at the geologically-remarkable Clay Castles. Lastly, you’ll fly to Etosha Heights Private Reserve on the southwest border of Etosha National park where you’ll track rhino and witness some of the best camera-loving panoramas of the wilderness.

Namibia has rapidly become well-known as a safari destination. This country offers unique opportunities and experiences while exhibiting expansive landscape views and copious wildlife. And with Natural Selection’s flying circuit, you’ll be able to really enjoy all Namibia has to offer.
