Description
This itinerary is for those whom desire to visit wildlife at accommodations that feature successful conservation projects. By traveling to these specific conservation-centric accommodations, your holiday will not only be fun and enjoyable, but meaningful and impactful to the accompanying conservation project. This conservation project-focused trip begins on the Zimbabwe side of Victoria Falls at the Elephant Camp. Here you’ll spend the next couple of days visiting the Wild Horizons Elephant Sanctuary and Orphanage and have opportunities to checkout the Falls from both the Zambia and Zimbabwe side. Next you’ll fly to Hwange National Park where you’ll have two contrasting experiences. The first one will be at Elephant’s Eye, where you’ll have the chance to learn about the Painted Dog Conservation. You’ll visit the Painted Dog Conservation Centre and meet PDC Team, whom will educate you on all their innovative techniques in studying this rare and endangered species. You’ll then experience another side of Hwange by staying at Little Makalolo, whom is in partnership with the Scorpions Anti-Poaching Unit. This involves conducting patrols and removing snares, a critical hand in the survival of Hwange’s wildlife. You’ll reap the results of their efforts with highly productive wildlife viewing experiences. Your last stop is in the Okavango Delta at Chitabe, a crusader against “poverty reduction.” With a devotion to raising the living standards of its employees to ensure that their whole families are raised out of poverty, your stay in the Delta ensures exciting year round game viewing as well as higher quality living conditions for the staff. With the safari travel industry evolving to feature areas that are conservation-and community-focused, this is just one example of the custom conservation-centric safari arrangements Next Adventure is able to create.
