Nicole Russo – Associate
Books, books, and more books are responsible for Nicole’s wanderlust and semi-nomadic lifestyle. Way back in grade school, she became hooked on reading about fascinating people in far away places and then made a choice to spend her life actually visiting those people and places around the world.
Living in 4 countries and 7 states and exploring 6 continents so far (that pesky Antarctica will happen someday!), Nicole has carved a niche in the adventure travel and safari industry. With nearly 20 years of experience in various roles, Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge about Africa and destinations further afield to the Next Adventure team.
Nicole’s degree in Environmental Studies from George Washington University has been integral in her past roles as an educator for the U.S. Forest Service, various nature centers, and as a docent at a prestigious zoo. Today, she is happier spending time closer to home teaching her young son about the natural world while helping him discover new places and new faces.
