Life changing experiences in South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe

Hi Kili, thank you for your time yesterday for our safari debrief. I enjoyed chatting with you about our wonderful, life changing South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe experiences.

To reiterate, our trip was incredible, we appreciated all of your help, expertise, great advice, as well the wonderful and diverse trip you planned for us.

To reply to your email, here is some structured feedback, with some bullet points under each of the questions from your message.

  • What was it like to plan your safari with Next Adventure?

    • Excellent in all aspects. Kili, we appreciate all of your patience with us as safari novices and willingness to answer all of our questions. We also appreciated your responsiveness.

  • What are some of the most striking things you remember from your safari?

    • Amazing variety of locations visited, including varying geography, animals and animal behavior. This was so fascinating.

    • Wonderful staffs, guides at all locations.

    • The beautiful and majestic Africa countryside

  • What elements of the accommodations (food, service, amenities, setting, etc.) stood out?

    • Little Makalolo best all around, with outstanding food, but also great staff and guide. Accommodation and common areas outstanding. Waterhole situated nearby for ongoing entertainment was awesome and sitting the hide was a wonderful up close and personal activity.

    • Deception Valley superb staff, guides, tracker. Accommodation and common areas outstanding. Waterhole nearly provided ongoing Bush TV entertainment!

    • Peech Hotel Outstanding all around. Food great, room beautiful, staff wonderful and welcoming.

  • Was there anything we could have done to better prepare you for your safari?

    • Maps - interactive pdf was great but didn’t seem to work when offline. We didn’t take the initial and very informative booklet with us due to weight constraints and were always a bit disoriented on safari as to where we were exactly. Not a big deal, we over came it…

    • The arrivals at Jo’Burg and Maun airports went very smoothly. We had lots of handlers and never felt lost. The hand offs to each greeter/handler, etc. were all seamless. However, we weren’t sure who should get what tip due to the vast number of people. I think we tipped them all! Not a problem, but some one short on funds it could be challenging.

    • Ask lodges to update information to be more accurate. WIFI availability information seemed to not always be up to date.

  • How would you describe to a friend what it's like to be on a safari?

    • Fascinating. Every minute provides a different experience even after you feel you have seen plenty of zebra, lions, elephants, etc., and after you think you have taken all the great photos and videos you’ll need. Putting down the cameras and picking up the binoculars and just watching the animals is amazing too.

Thanks again Kili. Overall we loved all the places you sent us and experiences you enabled! This was a wonderful trip. We will be in touch about another trip next July/August.

Kind regards, Richard and Patrice

PS - Patrice wanted me to add that she ended up loving the light aircrafts, especially MackAir.
